Needles are...uh...sharp

Yeah...sharp.

In one side and out the other.

ouch.

So much for a nice leisurely day of sewing.

ouch.

ouch.

Although I should have taken a picture of it in my finger. Actually kind of cool. Like a piercing!

(And please ignore my horrid cuticles. Thank you.)

  3. I did that last week! I was so thankful that my machine had the needle-up button! DH about passed out during the ordeal! Glad you're ok. :)

PS: maybe it's a blonde thing? I used to be blonde-now gray!

  4. There are table saws that stop so that the person doesn't chop off their finger--perhaps there should be something similar for sewing machines?

  7. :( Oh that is awful. All the tools are oh so sharp. I cut my foot on a rotary cutter and will have the battle scar forever. But I did not know a needle was THAT sharp.

  8. Wowza! Should make that into a hazard sign for my studio--I've had a couple of near misses.

  9. OUCH! I'm always thinking about this sort of thing in the back of my mind whenever I sew. My biggest sewing injury so far was when I about cut off the tip of my thumb with the rotary cutter. Not fun!

    Hope it heals up quickly!

  10. I did that exact thing a few weeks ago - it was horrible. Are you up to date on your tetnus shot? As painful as the initial puncture was, getting the shot was worse.... Hugs.

  11. Hey there...I did this to my finger once. I am sure that you felt a throbbing pain in that poor finger of yours for a few days. These accidents happen so fast! Seems that you are in good company here...sorry!
